Dr. Lucas Regier and Dr. Lauren Scott are a husband and wife chiropractic team who were both born and raised in the Ottawa Valley. They both practice the Diversified Chiropractic Technique and are certified Acupuncture and Graston Technique providers.
At RCRC we specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of body pains, work and sports injuries, stress related conditions, headaches and much more. We treat chronic and acute conditions, which include back, shoulder, neck and joint problems, posture and muscle issues, as well as work related injuries.
Our team is passionate about providing quality hands on care and education to ensure that our patients are able to live life to the fullest. We combine a unique blend of chiropractic care, acupuncture, rehabilitation exercises and lifestyle strategies to not only alleviate pain but to restore function and prevent future re-injury! Dr. Scott also has a special interest in female and paediatric care, and Dr. Regier is interested in extremity and sport related injuries.
A common therapeutic procedure performed by Dr. Scott and Dr. Regier is a spinal manipulation, also known as a chiropractic adjustment. The purpose of a manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become restricted in their movement, thus restoring motion and function and reducing pain.
Acupuncture is highly effective and virtually painless therapy used by both Dr. Regier and Dr. Scott. Recent scientific studies have proven the dramatic and clinical effects of acupuncture in reducing pain. By stimulating the acupuncture needles, a neurological response is produced. This stimulation causes the body to produce higher levels of your body’s natural pain killers. Acupuncture has been shown to reduce arthritis pain, headaches, jaw pain, low back pain, neck pain, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, and many other conditions.
Laser Therapy is a treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue and to help accelerate the healing process. It can be used on a variety of conditions in order to help eliminate pain, swelling, reduce spasms and increase function. Laser therapy can stimulate all cell types including muscle, ligament, cartilage, and nerves, therefore it can be used to treat a number of conditions including: arthritis pain, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, golfers elbow, tennis elbow, knee pain, neck pain, and tendonitis.
